Default 94 and 97 exterior exchange

Sorry for the quality of the pics, but i took it with my phone.

Well, you guys may remember my post from a while ago, I have the black ranger with the flames spray painted on.

Figured it was time to make my truck not look so trashy.

My ranger, is a 1997 4 cyl, the green one, had a trashed tranni, and didn't run all too well, it's going to the junk yard soon. we're salvaging the engine if any one wants a 4 cyl engine from a 94 ranger.

Above is a picture of my original bed, which is obviously the dented up one, and the bed that i'll be swapping it out with...

This is the picture of the whole side of my truck, and all the junk we stored in the '94.

'94 bed on the '97.

'97 bed sitting to the side

Complete project, '94s doors, hood and bed on my '97.

The '94 doors didn't have the door switch which made the car beep when the door was open, only two wires in each, which were for the speakers.

Of course it's all manual and there's no power locks or windows, so it was easy to do the doors.

I'll be painting it white tomorrow, i'll update the forum with pics...

Doesn't look like many people are interested, but figured i'd update and show that it's in paint now, after hours and hours of sanding at bondo...

Uh, embarrassed to say this, but an airless gun, with waterbased paint.

We have pro tools and I have a family friend that does pro paint jobs, but I don't have the $350 to spend on paint/clear coat/primer.

Looks decent in the pic, but it bubbled up and now i have to spend a few hours stripping it again, gonna get some real automotive paint and have my friend paint it this time. Making a custom grille out of an old mack truck grille too.

No harm done. At least the flames are gone.

Haha, yeah... I picked up a cheap gravity feed gun, and some blue paint and some white paint.

It's gonna be all blue with white between the two body lines. hope it turns out good.

Blue!

Not doing white between the body lines any more, just pinstriping in the body lines.
