Exclamation Mail Box scratch, need help getting it off.

Hey everyone! Today is not my day! First off trying to check the mail, I hit the mail box, scratch! I'm on my road to go to work, guy in front of me doesn't know how to drive so I try to pass him. He speeds, I pull back, he pulls back, won't let me over, Dodge Ram is about to "Ram" me on the other side and then he decides to let me over. Fucking old people! Thank god I'm okay and so is the truck. Now back to the scratch. I think it's just a rubbing against the truck so I was thinking should I put a reducer on it, then tape it off, wet sand, compound and then Meguiars scratch X 2.0? Or wet sand, compound and sealant/polisher to buff it out? There is a video of this guys Tacoma and his scratch looks similar to mine. Any help would be so appreciated because this scratch is pissing me off, and so is that guy that almost got me killed and this whole entire day. What I need is a case of beer, some good ass music and and my house all to my self lol. Thank you in advance.

run your thumb nail over the scratch and if it catches in it than its too deep to be repaired without paint. if not some careful wetsanding and polishing should take care of it.

Okay, update, I went outside (at work) and rub the scratch with my nail, 5 parts of the scratches are deep (nail catches it) and the rest not to bad. For the deep scratches, how do I go about painting it? I used that touch up paint you get at Walmart, Autozone and all and the last time I dealt with that, it came out looking like shit! So any help on that would be grateful. The rest i cant mask off, wet sand, compound, wax and buff. The paint part I need help please. Thank you

Oh and another thing is, there is still color underneath the scratch. I do not see metal or primer. I see white . So I'm thinking mask it off, wet sand real good, compound, buff, wax or polisher and buff again. Yes? No?

What were your steps? And isn't the white the primer? And I asking that to anyone including you . I'm about to clock out and go over to walmart to pick up some body filler and some universal black touch up paint. then going to mask it off, clean the area, put a thin layer of body filler, sand that, then touch up paint using a tooth pick. Put a couple of coats of that, then wet sand until it's smooth and level and a layer of clear coat and buff with compound? Or a wax to get the sanded parts out. It's really pissing me off because I'm seeing all these steps and can't find out which one to do. And I don't want a fucked up finish, excuse me for my language. Today is just not my day. Oh, and thank you.

haha! wow that un-noticeable lol. Yea being a black truck, I really want this to go good and not be too noticable. All I need is the right steps on how to do it and I'll be good from there on .
