Default wrong brackets?

So i got some nerf bars off of craigslist. Picked them up, the guy said they came off of a 2004 ranger, I saw the truck and it looked identical to mine, with 4 doors. Well my rear brackets won't fit anywhere. i found this thread and based on the pics my brackets look different :
Nerf bar style factory running boards installation. front brackets are perfect

Here's a couple pics:

kinda frustrating...

No if you can obtain the right bracket your good to go.

Just the bracket changed not the actual bar.

Sucks that you have to do this. I guess the guy said he had a extended cab and you didnt ask if it was 2dr or 4dr?

yes 2 door ext cab get a pic of the under side of the bar the holes for the 4 door brackets are there BUT BUT 90% of the time the Rivit nuts are not installed in the holes I ran into the same problem had to find a specialty Rivit nut dealer to get the right one's installed I used the old rear brackets off my old step bars.

he said they came off of the truck... I'm thinking he bought these used, they didn't fit, and wanted to resell them.. maybe that's why the price was so low.... We're trying to figure out with the other guy on here that's in a similar position if we can just swap the rear brackets.

His are 2dr brackets as well. At least that is my opinion from the pictures he posted.

You can buy just the rear bracket at for for like 40 each. Like the other guy said the the rivets may not be there.

any idea what the part number is for those? Instead of going through the troubles of finding the rivets, I'll have a buddy weld the bottom part of the bracket to the nerf bar for free.

my buddy came through.... bad news is that the brackets are no longer made, but a few dealers have them in stock. The rear bracket part numbers for a 4 door extended cab are:
left:
YL5Z16485CAA
right:
YL5Z16484CAA

looks like they're available online for $58.00 a piece

I would say the pics you posted are in fact from a 4 door. I took mine off of my 2 door and the brackets were nothing like the pics here.

^^^^^ they don't fit anywhere on my truck. Take a look at STL's pics. You see there are 2 bolts the go into the body (the bracket also looks to be 1 piece):

and if you look at mine, they are not anywhere close to those.
