Black paint over chrome, probably not a good idea. It will work for a while, but nothing sticks to chrome very well. Your best bet if you're SURE you want to do this, is to lightly scuff up the chrome with some 320-400 grit sandpaper (wet sanding is better). Most parts now a days use only a thin layer of chrome foil over plastic, but you don't need to go all the way through the chrome, just scuff it up really good to give the paint something to adhere to. Only scuff what you intend to paint. Then get some auto primer and black auto paint (a rattle can is fine fo this application), and go for it. Be sure to mask off what isn't supposed to be painted. Good luck!

Fusion will cover it, but Id prep the hell out of it first. It'd prolly be easier to grab one off of an xl or sport.

I guess they're black. It says they are primed. Guess you can paint them any color you want.
