Default Help with Door/Window Part???

I finally found a good deal on a 2002 4-door 4x4. It has a metal piece below each front seat window that's covered with some sort of rubberized material, and as you can see in the photos, it's all coming off. Can anyone tell me how to remove this piece? My plan is to remove it, scrape off what's left of the rubberized coating, and paint it flat black. Does anyone even have a part number for this piece?

Thanks,
Jay

Hmm...I'm not quite sure how to remove it, but you're going to have to take your mirrors off. I just had my mirrors off and doors apart recently, and I don't remember seeing any sign of how it comes off. It might just pry off. I would suggest checking a junkyard for those before you bought new ones....

I wouldn't replace it, I'd just strip and paint it. I could probably do it without removing it, but I think I can do a nicer job with it out.

You mentioned a part number, that what made me think you were considering replacing it.

I guess you could just mask everything else off and paint it that way....
