Default 2010 Ranger bed mat....Canadian solution

I have been agonizing over paying the "Ford" price for a bed mat here in Canada. If I was in the USA I could purchase a DeeZee mat quite cheaply but shipping, taxes and brokerage fees put the end cost up there with Ford's mat. This weekend I saw something interesting in the Canadian Tire sales flyer. They had 2' X 3' rubber mats (regular $24.99) on for $9.99! My measurements showed I'd need four. These are about 1/4" thick and are exactly what the doctor ordered. They lock together on the edges to for one large 4' X 6' mat. Some minor trimming will be required at the wheel wells. I will add a photo later. Dave

i actually have a rubber mat in the back of my ranger, guy gave it to me, he made it out of between 1/4" and 1/2" (it's pretty thick, over 1/4" i'm pretty sure) rubber that they use in the livestock trailers for the horses and cows to stand on. pretty tuff stuff, only problem is, it floppes around a little bit and now the paint is wearing off in the bed, lol. Time to go buy some Herculiner! :-)

These have little dimples all over the side that faces down and they don't slip. I am going to trim around the wheel wells this afternoon. I don't carry much anyway but they will do the job just fine for me. They are quite thick. Photo shows the dust which has gathered in the box. Time for a wash out. Dave

That's a great solution and a hell of a savings.

yeah, mine has the dimples on the bottom to, it's probably all made from the same stuff. I priced a quarter inch one at JC Whitney and it was like almost 70 bucks i think. Only difference between your and mine probably is the size, you need to put them together this was trimmed down to fit, and they work FANTASTIC with my wooden handmade bed divider, lol
