Default Front bumper assembly

As you can see, I am VERY new to this.... This is the second Ford I have owned to restore.... the first being a 1951 shoebox many years ago. This 2004 basic Ranger needs a lot of TLC and I am going to begin with the worst.... the front bumper area but I know very little about what I need so any help you can give me would be very much appreciated..

The front area of the truck is a mess.... but the main grill is fine and decent enough.... Below the grill is the bumber area and I have read "valance" and "bumper cover" etc.... but what I really needs is some kind of schematic that shows the different parts of this bumper..... my goal is to remove the entire bumper and replace it but what parts do I need to order and from where?

I can send a close up picture of the bumper area on this Ranger but the pictures are on a different computer.... Right now my request is for a few people to respond with a "been there/ done that" reply that can give me specific advice about what everything is called.... in other words, are there two parts to this bumper?

Again... any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks..... Dennis

I researched this one to death and found a lot of obtacles and rip offs per usual.... some offering a great deal in the hopes that I would not see the shipping cost..... If I wanted a bumper/valance combination, and the convenience from buying from one company, but could I do better with buying each of the two components individually? That is what happened ast I paid $91 for a titanium bumper with free shipping.... It will be here on Tuesday... and I bought the valance with the arm supports for about $70 also with free delivery from another company.... I found out it is "easy" to remove the old ugly bumper/valance with four bolts..... love the word easy.... four VERY rusted nuts... but whoever installed this must have used antisieze because I didn't need the breaker bar!!!! So this is one problem that is solved.... and the restoration continues.... If anybody reading this has an good ideas of how to remove a large dent in the side of the box/bed it would be appreciated..... ideas/suggestions welcome.... PS... As usual, it pays to shop around.... and I found a white fender to replace the passenger side fender... with one problem.... $85 for the used fender, white so won't need painting, but has Ranger XLT on the side of it..... and mine is not an XLT... but it is now....Have a good one.

Finished... kind of... laughed at the directions as they suggested a professional install..... Kept the old bumper/valence intact so I could move restored brackets etc. to the new assembly.... didn't bother with plastic push fasteners and instead used stainless steel bolts/nuts and washers.... It went well.... painted the new bumper with semigloss paint and installed it myself too....

Now have one more question... the tire size for this Ranger is 225/70/15 and I desperately need new tires on it but there are not a lot of tires with this size out there right now ...... I researched and it said that the alternate size tire for this 2004 Ranger is a 235/75/15 tire..... My question: Will the 235's, if I find a decent set, fit on my existing rims?

Also... found a set of 235s that were taken off a Ford Explorer I believe.... and these were still mounted on the Explorer rims.... would these fit my 2004 Ranger?
