New Rattle
Good evening everyone. I bought a 2003 Ranger 2 dr. ext cab 5 speed with a 3.0 engine 157,000 miles.
It has developed a wind related rattle. It starts around 50 mph and up. I thought it was coming from under the dash on the passenger side. I currently have the pass air bag out, the glove box and pass kick panel out along with the defroster grill out. When driving down the road, its like I could reach out and touch this rattle, but I cant LOL. I have zip tied and taped everything on that side. I have also duct taped the windshield molding down.
This pickup has had both front fenders replaced along with the metal piece the wipers pass through. I am beginning to think when the wind passes through the holes in this plate something is rattling against the firewall.
My question is how is the easiest way to access this area? Is it to pull the inner fender, or remove the wiper arms and take the plate off?
I appreciate your responses!!
Thank You
Keith
