Default Single Stage suggestions

I'm going to paint my beater and although I'm not looking for a showroom finish that will survive a nuclear fallout I do want it to look decent and last a few years...Any suggestions on brands and where to buy?

Anyone complete a single stage job and want to share pics/materials used/costs would be great!

go to a automotive paint shop, and get at least 2-quarts paint/ 2q clear/ 2q primer/ 1q sealer/ 1q hardner and 350/400/600/1500/2000 grit wetsand paper. you can either rolled this on as well, of course this have UV protection as the rustoleum dont have it and it looks better, I personally would spray mine,

Oh by the way, guess what, thast what im doing right now, i will be doing pics and videos and a full right up. GOOD LUCK!

So what line of paint products did you purchase? Cost?
What size compressor are you using...I have a 33 gal 1.5 hp...not sure if that is going to be enough
I'll be staying tuned for your pics/vids and will post some of my own as I go thorugh the process

well i should have clarified exactly what i am doing, i am doing a 2-stage paint job, i would rather have more paint and more clear coats, anyways the cost for all my products were a little over $500, that included everything i mentioned, it did not include a disposable mask/ sand paper/ cloth paint suit/ also you need your gun, harbor freinght has a $60 gun, but the internals are made of plastic, so the longevity is not so good, i spent the money and got a $140 gun with stainless internal parts with a in store 2yr warranty.

dont forget to get the folowing

1- 160 grit
2- 400 grit
3- 1500-2000 grit (sand paper)

use 160 (for prep)before primer, use 400 (post primer) before sealer, than spray what i call the black spray (tellitall lol) , than block again if needed, than spray paint 1-coat light/ 2-coat 15-30mins later and a 3rd if needed, (personally preference), let dry overnight, than clearcoat it 1,2,3 whatever you desire. ( you can wetsand if their is dust or imperfections once clear coated.
