Hey All,
As I mentioned in my intro...I'm a straight up newbie at all things auto. This is my first truck and the first time I have ever taken a tool to a vehicle...except maybe a tire change and a CD player install.
With that said though...I saw a post in this forum a while back with a picture of a guys truck that had Bed liner all around the bottom of the pannels. I thought this looked really good and want to do that to mine. I was hoping to get some insight into what prep work was done and the method of application...products used...things to look out for...etc.
Also,
As you can see in the ranger pictures section (mine is labled Beater) my truck isn't the jewel of the nile. An Update to that picture would reveal a white bed has been put on, a white left front fender installed and the tailgate is the maroon color. It has officially become a clown car.
I will be implementing the much talked about $50 paint job (
http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/...0&fpart=1&vc=1). Check out this thread...it is amazing! I was wondering if anyone in this forum has tried this method and could share results and or experiences.
And Finally,
Has anyone had any experience with POR 15 or Chassis Saver? The rear portion of my frame is in rough shape and I want to get a couple years out of this beast so I want to treat it with something that will stop the rust from spreading. The frame isn't past the point of no return yet but 2 years would probably do the trick.
