Default Pic Request: Plastic tool boxes

If you have a plastic tool box on your truck can you post some pictures? I'm on the boat of buying a plastic one vs. a stainless one... I found both locally and the plastic one is much cheaper, but I just wanted to see. Thanks!

My truck used to have a plastic box. It worked nicely but it did start to bow in the middle. I'd like to get a nice diamond plate tool box but I like my soft cover right now. It's a pain in the ass to roll up and snap but it serves its purpose well. Eventually I'm going to get one of the velcro ones. They're so much nicer. Ok I'm done spamming now.

The Husky and Kobalt boxes are pretty cheap when they are new so if you can find one used i would jump on it. Don't go with plastic you will just regret it IMO. I got mine off CL for 100 bucks its a Husky and was brand new. Some kid bought it for his Tacoma and it wouldn't fit his baby bed lol.

yeah just search craigslist. silver diamond plates are a dime a dozen on there. a black one on the other hand might take a while longer (i would know).

yea i wouldn't go plastic. I had one a long time in my F-150 and only used it because i got if for free. it was a POS though, it fadded, bowed, one of the hinges broke, and it eventually got to the point it was so warped it wouldn't close. i hated it.

metal ones can be found really cheap to just like everyone else keeps saying CL is the way to go. i bought an old stainless one and its thick and heavy as hell, the thing is like a safe. i got it for 30 bucks and all i had to do was repaint it.

lol ok... stainless it is then, thanks! and I do have a roll up tonneau for it, but a tool box would be nice for my business, plus I have no where to put my jack and such in the truck anymore since I took out the plastic pieces so it would give me some options...

Well here's a pic of my plastic box. Yeah it's gotten faded, but this is the seconed truck I've had it in and it's about 7 years old. It's seen tons of abuse, and has held up well. It holds everything I need, doesn't leak, and is strong enough to stand on. I think it still looks good, but my truck really isn't much of show piece either.
