I have a 1996 Mazda b2300, when turning on the windshield wipers I've noticed that the arm has slack in it making it hit the cowl and over all really noisy. There is a lot of play where the arm hooks on too the I'm going to call it the pivot point coming out of the cowl. Would this be caused by the socket on the arm being worn? Or a worn pivot? Or are they built to have slack like this? If so is there a way to adjust the arms so they don't come down and hit the cowl?
Here's a link to show what my issue is.
