Smile DIY Rollup Tonneau Cover

Hey everyone. New to the forums here. I recently bought an 01 Ranger XLT, and would like to make a home made tonneau cover. I dont really feel like spending $200 on a cover. I was recenrly scrolling through YouTube, and found this great video that shows an easy and cheap way to make one.
The only problem with this is I dont really want to drill that many holes into my bed. Can anyone think of an easier way to hold down the cover when it is completely rolled out, and when up against the cab? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had one of those on my old F-100. One thing I remember well is that in colder weather it was really difficult to get it stretched out enough to reach all the snaps. I would let it sit in the sun for a while before making that attempt, and that's in a SoCal winter.
I would think this could be done with adhesive-backed velcro along the bed frame and sewn into the vinyl cover.

Thanks for the info. That’s good to know because I live in the midwest so it is often 10F or so. Only problem I could see with the velcro is that if snow piles up on top of the cover, the velcro will end up splitting apart from itself. Might be worth to do a combination of both to get the best of both worlds.
