If you dont go off road anywhere outside of some fire or back roads you might be fine incorporating some aluminum/Steel angle stock and creating a bracket for a light adding a backstop behind it to protect it some. However, keep in mind any departure angle whether in forward or reverse could catch on them possibly if you've ever dragged your hitch receiver before.
Something I did for temporary purposes was a single flush mounted cube on the passenger side. In process of designing a rear bumper multi carrier so a pair of lights will be massaged in as needed.

I can activate them by putting the truck in Reverse, manually turning them on/and or off as needed.
