Default 0" or 2" hitch drop?

For those of you who tow a boat behind your ranger, what drop do you use for your hitch?

I was reading that generally a 20-22" distance from ground to top of ball is what most often keeps a trailer level. As of right now, I have a ball mount on the bumper (getting a frame mounted hitch soon) and that ball sits at 21", so I was assuming a 0" drop when I get the hitch added to the frame would be the way to go.

Would love to hear y'alls experiences. Thanks!

I don't mess with boats, but tow a small (not one running 13 in tires) landscape trailer time to time, and my 2 inch drop looks pretty level on it

Thanks for the input! Maybe I should just have both on hand for whenever I find a good deal and that way I'll be prepared either way.

or buy both, see which one you like the height of and return the other- I've never had an issue returning a hitch since their nearly impossible to damage
