Have a broken tailgate handle. Saw youtube video, seems easy replace, but suggested online metal part $10-$20 vs $45+ at local store.

Looking at reviews, suggested parts fit/work, but slight size difference. Anyone have experience, good or bad?

Also, bottom of tailgate gone from rust (on exterior side only) from bumper to 2", but gate swings down okay. Not concerned with looks, but worried about continued functionality.
