Default driver/passenger window visor question

alright guys, I'm trying to decide on getting the door window visors for my stepside. If I do I already decided I'd get in channel ones- this isn't a brand question, I read through all of the threads on here about them but never found an answer, some reviews talk about how with these visors wind noise goes up when the windows are closed has anyone experienced this?

Arrow Re: driver/passenger window visor question

In channel look 10000x better than the stick on shit. I have had the AVS in channel now for over 5 years. Zero problems. Wind noise is VERY minor. If you have a rear slider window you will get more wind noise with that open than you will ever hear with the window visors.

They look cool too. Personally I think it's a necessity for the little rangers as it makes them look a little meaner..lol

White ranger is mine, red ranger isn't but looks awesome.

Agreed with above statements... The in-channel has the best aesthetics, last longer than the exterior mounted versions. AVS, Weathertech, and there's another brand I cant seem to recall at the moment are mostly in-channel and made from better plastics. The cheaper brands tend to be the externally mounted and oddly fade in moderately warmer climate lets alone high heat just for added thoughts..

The in-channel will also seal better and be more secured. I've never heard of anyone having issues from 1995 and forward of installing them on many trucks.

What I dont understand is the seemingly HIGH concern of noise, its a Ford Ranger, it's a truck, 75% of all owners drive with the stereo up 3/4 volume or a phone earbuds stuffed in their ears, and the vehicle itself has the co-efficient drag of a cinder block...!

Its not a Lexus 430 sedan with a pressurized sand filled firewall. As a truck its going to have some noises, the original factory antenna whistles like a $10 hooker on a flag pole during a light breeze just to start.
