7ft bed?

Well ok as my Sig says I got an 04 ranger with a 7ft bed? Anybody know where to find stuff like bed caps and tonnaue covers? I've searched a lot but no luck. All I ever find is the 6ft or 8ft bed stuff

Try measuring your bed with a tape measure. Go from the inner dimensions. Not with the tailgate open. Its most likely a 6 foot bed.

They made a "long bed" ranger for a few years, that had a 7ft bed.

I've been saying that for years and everyone says pictures or I'm lying, but I don't have the vehicle anymore. Anyway, you are going to have a hard time I'd imagine finding something for a 7 foot bed, but there are plenty of websites to check out. I'd Google tonneau covers or go to www.tonneaucoverworld.com? Not trying to doubt you or anything but are you absolutely sure you have the 7 ft bed, i say this because ive never seen a xlt long bed it was mostly the xl's mostly work trucks. And where is your gas cap is it between the front of the bed and the fender or is it within a couple inches of the front of the bed you have the short bed

My 99 ranger xl is a long bed (7 foot bed) I think they never made xlt's with a 7 ft bed. and its harder to find stuff for it unlike the normal 6 foot bed. I can tell already that you have the 7 foot bed just by looking at where the gas door is on the bed. Much farther back on 7 ft beds than 6 ft beds.

I don't see why Ford would make a "rare" 7 foot bed. 6 foot beds are obviously the most common one for the XLT. The 8 foot bed is on the XL.

There was never an 8 ft bed. My xl has a 7 ft bed

Make sense, so Rangers never had an 8 foot bed? Must've confused it with the F-150.

Yep only 6&7 foot beds were made for rangers.
