Yes dumb on my part but i knew my bed was rough (i didn't discover how rough until about month ago) and i didn't want to waste it.
I called monstaliner and despite what there site says ("shelf life of 12 months") they said it could hold up for a coupe years ..unused. Monstaliners advice was to open it and see if its separated and to see how bad it smells. If it smells really really bad or if it appears separated then its spoiled.
Now i am not trying to second guess monstaliner but how does a bedliner spoil??
I asked if there was anything i could do if it had separated and they said "no".
I am waiting until tomorrow to give it a look

From some of the things I've seen they make those things out of I would assume the spoil is more or less the chemical reaction intensity is severely altered or changed in such way that actual application MAY not have the original appealing aesthetics or longevity/durability as intended.
I found out a lot of the bedliner's like LineX and especially the more rubberized ones like Rhino Liner actually when exposed to higher heat temps give off toxic fumes. I havent done it yet because i am in the middle of setting something up with the company itself to become a vendor but i have found a material like LineX where you can build it up in layers that is not only Non-toxic but safe for the environment altogether. Its mostly meant as a interior audio sound deadening material but it has many uses and applications to be had.
My curiosity has been peeked most specifically because of my topper becomes a living space and I'm in near 120* temps a couple months of the year and the health concerns really made me rethink a few things.
By next month i may have something more to report and I'll surely add it into my build thread for reference.. we'll see how it turns out.
