I don't know for sure yet,but I might need a new fuel filler neck.

If so,do you HAVE TO,remove the bed to replace the neck ???

EASIEST WAY:
You will need to take out all the bed bolts and 3 screws at fill end, to move it back a couple feet to access the tank end and remove the unadjustable band clamp to install a new worm clamp along with new hose.

Patrick, as stated above that is the easiest way to do it. I am an older guy with a bad back & I used an engine hoist to remove the bed off my 2000 Ranger when I did mine. I found that way easier then laying under the truck or removing the gas tank. I responded to your thread about the filler neck with a link to where I purchased the one for my Ranger.

Not meaning to hijack but I need to pull a fuel pump on one of mine to remove the regulator, would pulling the bed be the best way for that also?

For now the gas cap light has not returned,but i bet it will ,next gas up.
The gas fill hole plate has fallen in the neck.Leaveing a larger hole in its place.
The cel has not come on yet,since i disconnected battery.But i bet it will next fill up.You can still put gas in.If i have to move bed back i'm f..ked.My topper is on,
plus a ton of stuff in the bed.Because of my temp.living arrangements.
Sorry,no means of pics to show.
For now i'll wait till light shows up again.Does anybody have a magical way of installing a fuel neck without moving the bed,
