You would have to change both front fenders, header panel, and hood, not to mention grill, headlights, turn signals and corners to make it work.

Re: Front End Swap guide 1998-2000
Hi there, pretty new to this, but I want to change just the grill, and bumper to my ranger. I have a 2000 similar to the pic below. I want to put the 2004 grill on it, like the one in the next pic. And either the 2004 bumper or the 2001 bumper on it. I would love to do it without changing the lights, is that possible, and if not, whats the least I wud have to do to make it work?

You would need 01+ headlights because you will need to switch over to a 04+ header panel to use that grille. Your also going to need a hood since the 04 grille is taller than a 98-00 grille. I think I've read on here you also have to change out one of the hood hinges to run the newer hoods on a 98-00 also but I may be wrong...

You will need to decide what year you wanna go with. You can only mix and match on the corners. 2001-2003 grille will not work if you go with the 2004-2010 front end.
A few sources to buy the parts you need.
www.Certifit.com Good quality parts for cheap. Limited shipping.
www.ebay.com
www.car-parts.com Can search all salvage yards in your state.
www.LMCtruck.com Good place to obtain all small fasteners
For the 2001-2003 Look you will need
Headlights
Corner Lights
Header panel
Grille
Hood (If you want the Fiberglass Fx4/Edge raised hood)
Headlamp Retainer (inward and outward)
Miscellaneous Fasteners
For the 2004-2010 look you will need
Hood (Have to have hood as it is different then the 2001-2003)
Headlights
Corner Lights
Header panel
Grille
Headlamp Retainer (inward and outward)
Miscellaneous Fasteners
Here are pictures to show the items needed. The 2001-2005 Corner lights are different then the 2006-2010 corner lights
Headlights 2001-2010
Headlight retainers (holds lights onto header panel)
Corner Lights 2001-2005 Will work up to 2010
Corner lights 2006-2010 will work on 2001-2005 as well
2001-2003 Header Panel
2004-2010 Header Panel
2001-2003 Grille Options
2004-2010 Grille Options
First 4 are 2004-2005 Last 4 are 2006-2010 but will all work the the 2004+ conversion
2001-2003 Bumper Options. (will need to swap over bumper brackets)

Re: Front End Swap guide 1998-2000
HI!
What about upgrading an 94 B-series front bumper to a newer sportier bumper either ford or Mazda look.
Any thoughts or links to a thread that I overlooked?
thanks in advance!

Re: Front End Swap guide 1998-2000
Hey all, I successfully got the headlights/grill/header panel on, however I am missing a couple of parts. I cant seem to find the correct hood latch striker part. The one from my '00 Ranger does not fit the powerdome hood, it is about half a inch too short. Any suggestions? Also do I need to replace the whole latch? Mine is very close to the top of the header panel/grill
I may have found the part number, 16K689 is that the correct one?

You can keep your bumper but some people go with newer ones as they like the look better. And any lights from 94 to 2011 that you like will fit. 2000 and on used 2 bulbs while previous years used 3.

That mostly depends where you buy and how much rust you have. Junkyards would be the cheapest and no rust would be easiest!
