Default Adding a Second Tank

Under the bed behind the wheel as designed, not the in bed accessory. I never had a vehicle customized, so I don't know who would do such work. I called a bunch of customization shops in Metro Detroit and none of them do that.

Lightbulb Just a couple ideas>>>>

You'd probably have to find an off road type shop or custom chassis shop to get it done.

To do it yourself, you have a couple options:

1. Find a Bronco II fuel tank, as they mount behind the axle. You will have to fabricate mounting brackets. I mocked it up on my 94, but since my truck is lowered, it sat to low for my liking. I still have the tank & straps, but would have to be picked up, as shipping would be pricey if they even allowed it.

2. Use an aftermarket fuel cell. Would have to make mounting brackets for this also.

As far as using one as a secondary tank, I have no idea as to how you would plumb it.

Somebody else will have to chime in on that. SORRY!

I'm very curious to see how this turned out. What did you end up doing for your tank..

I'm also pretty curious about this myself. I remember growing up my father had a '91 F-150 where he put another gas tank to it. I thought about doing it to my Ranger as well. That is if possible. Under the truck and not in a tool box type sitting across the bed.
