Default Bosch Icon Wiper Blades

When used on the Ranger, do they produce a premium result meaning long life, streak free wiping, cover every bit of the area they are supposed to (think, glass curvature), and work well in winter (reasonable expectations here)? Or is there a better performing product out there?

*Ranger specific here please, because, model of vehicle that blades are used on seems to affect some areas performance and thus opinion. Thanks!

I use them too, no complaints. Don't buy them at full price is you're shopping for value though.

Now I know you aren't interested in other vehicles, but I had them on my F-150 for 4 years. I thought that was great, because In the ssouth wipers don't last because of the intensity of the sunlight in the summer. I'm not sure if they changed the rubber composition or what, but I loved them so I replaced them when they finally started streaking and I couldn't get a set to last 6 months after that. My wife's new Toyota does the same thing and they're only a couple months old. I haven't had that issue on my Ranger yet though.

Did you measure them to make sure they were the right size? Some people stick 19s or 20s on there to get a larger surface area wiped, but if overdone the wipers are too long and will do that

They are the right size. The problem is actually the end of it sticks out. At low wiper speeds there is no issue but when it's going faster it flexes more and hits.

IT only has issues on the passenger side btw.

I run RainX on mine with no issues. I also sell RainX in my shop and have had maybe two sets returned in 5 years selling them, and none were hanging over or banging. They briefly had used a graphite like lubricant on the blades and in some cases, it would smear some black smudges on the windows. This was solved by simply wiping them off with a damp rag prior to install. But they fixed that issue quite fast. The theory on the beam blade is sound, and it definitely works better than the old 6-8 pressure point arm blades do. I've found (as reported to me by my customer base) that the Latitude beam blades tend to last longer than the old style blades. I think between the longer duration of use, and better functionality, that the increased cost is well worth it

Good info, keep it coming!

One more question for people with the Icon, and that is the part number.....or is it, part numbers. 18A on the left and 18B on the right, or some other combination?

Yes due to the curvature of the glass

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's appreciated. Icons will be here next week, best deal was to add them to a purchase from Rock. Alternative would have been an easy to identify ebay seller offering buy it now or make an offer.

Seems like most reviews were favorable in the longevity department; vehicle specific performance info was much harder to find. On the other hand, based on peoples feedback there is one vehicle that really stands out like a sore thumb when Icons are installed. Prius, LOL! Fortunately, that won't be a problem here as I will never own (or rent) one of them nor any other model of 'biege from the oriental company. Ever.

I use them on mine, had them on for 3 years in central Alberta, ice snow and heat no problem.
