Here's a shot of my truck from the dealer when I bought it last year (personally not a fan, but hope it helps you out a bit).

If your going to get one I say definitely go with that low profile one like '01 ranger 4x4' has. I am not a fan of that one that was on 'FX4's' ( smart re move )

I got the AVS Bugflector II or some such. It's OK, but I like the low-pro Lund better. Works OK, and I don't see it from the driver's seat.

I have the Ford factory one on mine. It's low enough that I don't see it from the seat. If mine were to become MIA, I'd deff. replace it with the Lund.

I also, have the factory Ford bug deflector on my Edge. It's a low profile. however, I want to remove it, but they put the little rubber "bumpers" on the truck and they are stuck there and look stupid, so I left the deflector on.

Damn, but your truck always looks good. Even if it was covered in poo.

I had those bumpers on my 93 Ranger and turns out the come off with bug and tar remover. If that doesn't work try xtreme goo gone, you can find both of these at walmart and the goo gone is the best!

Question. What are you looking for out of the deflector? If you are looking to just protecting the hood, the low profile is fine. If you are looking to keep bugs off your windshield, I would recommend going with a high profile deflector. Nothing is 100% but the high profile will do a better job at keeping your windshield clean than the low profile one will.
