Tailgate fitment years?

Going to the junkyard to find a junk tailgate that i can dent up when putting my commercial mower on it. Im sure 01 + will fit my 04 ranger edge, however will any previous years also fit? If the beds are the same dimensions and not a stepside, would they all fit? Thanks

94-up fits. Make sure the tailgate comes from the same style bed you have.

Mazda gates have no holes for emblems (cleaner look to me). And 06-up have the big ford emblem in the middle of the gate. 00-down have a metal handle, 01-up have the bigger plastic handle to open up the gate.
