Default Truck tool box

An anyone recommend a tool box that will fit the bed and rails of a 1994 Ranger Splash?

I have the huskey low profile box from Home Depot and it fits perfect on my 94 4.0L XLT 4x4 I recommend it I got it for $199-250 with tax don't remember exact price but it's nice for the price. I was trying to get it in black but couldn't find it might be able to order it but not sure. 👍🏼

This is a REALLY minor point.

I have a cira 1994 Home Depot Husky tool box on the back of my 2005 Ranger. There is one tiny issue I just hate about the box.

I can't see the top of the tailgate or the corners of the back of my truck through the mirrors or turning around.

It makes a little difference and today I would buy a low profile toolbox.

A friend advised me long ago to not buy the gull wing type. He said what I needed would ALWAYS be on the other side. That requires unlocking and popping that side up.

I bought the full length lid and never looked back.

But I have the Splash Step Side truck and I don't think those boxes will fit the narrow truck bed. Thanks.

It's a better built toolbox that has some stuff done to it:

Removed logo and drilled and installed the ford badge

Installed CB antenna on it, by the way, that's the best location that I came up with

And I installed my homemade fishing pole holders, made with steel pipe and a welder, and a pipe bender.

Look into a tool chest. I have a regular bed but went with a UWS chest for the purpose of removing it. I think it would work for you. Like this.

The narrowest I have ran across is 58 and 60. I have been evaluating options myself, except for a regular bed. Walmart online provides access to some good brands. Whatever you do, definitely consider the low profile options. They usually stick up about 2 inches while the others about 5 inches. That is a big chunk of that back glass. Make sure you cross reference the model selected at the manufacturer website for actual dimensions.
