Question about diy bedliner.?
I'm wanting to do a bed liner in my truck & have been looking for a "how-to" about it but can't seem to find one even though I would think there is one on here. So question is do you know where to find it exactly on here or anywhere else for that matter.? Thanks ahead of time.

The instructions is really the only how to that you need. Tip. Make sure you cover all the bed bolts with tape so you DO NOT get the Bedliner on then incase you need to ever pull the bed. I suggest get a metal scrape wheel for an angle grinder and go to town on the bed. The roll on kits are kinda a pain in the butt.. Just did a buddies 89 dodge bed and had about 1/4 of a gallon left. so I sanded down my Trailer and bedlinered the metal rails and steel mesh on my trailer to get rid of the rust. Came out good for doing it quick.

Re: Question about diy bedliner.?
i used a roll type product. worked well. on the lower 1/2 of my truck i used it then went over it with rustolium
i wold remove the bed bolts when you do it..
and when it comes to any kind of paint etc, it is all about the PREP work, dont skimp on it

Plenty of how-tos over the internet but it boils down to getting a rough clean surface for the liner to adhere to. I'm going to recommend a kit from http://www.spray-lining.com/diy/spray-bedliners.php
I have a thread with how my project came out and I can tell you that kit is extremely durable is sprayed correctly.

Re: Question about diy bedliner.?
So pretty much make sure I prep everything I'm going to put it on by roughing the surface up so it holds better.? & I'll prolly just take my bolts out to do it so I won't have to worry about it. Thanks for the input.

Yes and you'll be good. Clean it up too. I used a hose and hosed the bed out and dried it as well as an air compressor

Re: Question about diy bedliner.?
Okay thanks. Guess I gotta wait until it warms up where I'm at before I can think about doing it. Not much longer though. Lots to do in spring/summer time.
