Default Ford Ranger Side Emblem

I am playing with the idea of repainting my ranger, and I was just curious how you remove that Emblem on the side of the driver side. This isn't my ranger, but I attached a photo of the emblem I'm talking about.

Use some fishing line to move up and down to cut through the glue stuff.

OH! Sounds easy enough. Thanks!

Is there a special kind of adhesive used to put it back on?

3M double sided tape works just as good as the factory stuff

Even a butter knife with some WD-40 on it will do the trick.

Maybe I should start a new thread, but, Any body know about how much paint it takes for a coat?

This is quite the project, but I'd really like to disassemble as much of the body as I can, completely strip off the old stuff, re prime it, put the base color on, and the clear coat.

I have obviously never tried to paint anything, so it will definitely be a learning experience.

Yeah I would definitely recommend starting another thread. You'll get much more responses.
