I have a 2002 Ford ranger xlt, regular box. My box is rotten so I need a new box. I have the option of buying a whole new parts truck for 500$ which is a great deal! However this truck is a 1998 side step box. Will the side step box fit on my regular box bed? Are the mounts the same? Need help!

it will not unless you get the filler neck and rear bumper. Otherwise it will

Not 100% sure, but I believe the beds should swap out no problem

^this. Frame mounting points are the same, bumper and fuel filler neck are different. Since you're getting a parts truck, you can just pull these parts off of it.

Obviously tail gate as well. But it will all swap over no issue. Be careful with the filler neck! Heard the step side necks aren't cheap like the fleet side beds are.
