Has any one installed Power 06+ mirrors on a pre 06 truck that has power mirrors?

I just went to install my 06 power mirrors on my 04 that has power mirrors and I have a problem.

the 04 power mirror has a short harness that runs from the mirror down in to the door.(about 12-18" long)

the 06 power mirror just has plug for a harness to plug in to(in the back side of the mirror ).

Is there a short harness for the 06 that goes from the mirror to the door harness or is the 06 door harness longer to0 go all the way to the mirror?

When I did mine I just cut the plug off the 06 mirrors and hard wired the mirror to the harness in the door
