Default Just planning ahead--front recovery points, tow hooks?

I just picked up a RWD 99 ranger that I will be using to haul my dirt bikes. Sooner or later I'm going to get stuck somewhere. I carry a tow strap, and many of my riding buddies have 4wd to pull me out. Let me be clear that I get my off-road jollies with the dirt bikes, so any "stuck" situations are going to be very mild recovery. I fully understand that my truck is not an off road vehicle and I won't be hitting (or even coming near) mud holes or big washouts. Having said that, I think the rear bumper will work fine for me, but I don't see anything obvious in the front. I could add a front hitch, but I was hoping for a cheaper alternative. I did a search, but most threads pertained to 4wd.

So, are there safe recovery points (mild recovery) from the front, or is there someway I could mount tow hooks like my super duty used to have? Thanks.

Wrap the strap around one of the frame rails behind the bumper. It'll work fine for your situation. I would recommend the same for the rear too. Never been a fan of using the bumper.

^^^^

When I had my 01 2wd I used to wrap the strap around the frame all the time. It worked fine, but damage to your valence is likely. Just a heads up
