bought used canopy blacked out windows
bought a used rawhide canopy today and the previous owner blacked out the windows with black spray paint so no theifs can look inside to see what you got. But the guy did a terrible job and the paint is cracking and peeling off. i want to take it off but dont know how i should do it? i need help guys! i also want to replace it with just roll on tint stuff so i can see out the damn windows.lol
thanks, will get pictures up once i do some work on it this weekend.

If the windows are glass, (I've seen people replace broken windows with plexiglass), you can use a razor blade scraper. Had the same problem with a canopy I just got. Cleaned up real easy.

so now that my windows are clear and not black, i want to re tint them. theres the roll on tint or the spray on tint. what one would you go with?

spray tint is mostly for tail lights and shit.. wouldnt really work that well and would take a ton to get a decent effect.
itd be like $40-50 bucks i bet to tint it at a shop, might as well endulge and get it done right

eh depending on the number of windows, some tint shops are pricey as shit! they do a great job though, im guessing that the windows dont have to hard of a shape to try yourself with just tint from autozone etc. and if it looks shitty then go to a shop

Get the static cling type tint at walmart. it's much more forgiving to bubbles and such than the adhesive type...

i looked at the tint from canadiantire and walmart and its not black tint, its more purple. dont want that. i actually just got back from this place called fine lines that does custom decals,graphics and window tinting. they prices me at 125$ cash for the side windows @ 5% and the back window @ 15%. ill just suck it up and get a pro to do it so it will be done properly.
