Default Air Horn???

So I recently bought and installed a Wolo Air horn from Autozone. I don't know, had the money and it was looking at me. Well I plugged it into a small bottle of air and it sounded awesome! Then I installed it on its compressor and now doesn't sound like when it was installed on the bottle air. Here's my question, could I buy the air tank and all of its necessary components without buying the horns and installed that on my horns I got now? Or will it not work? Any help would be nice thanks.

PS. Don't have the money and couldn't just go and buy the whole 300 dollar kit so yeah, needs some help. Thanks

Oh no it works, but it lowers in sound when its hooked up on the compressor but when I hook it up to a air bottle and try it out, it sounds a whole lot louder!. So I was wondering if I hook it up to a air compressor tank and make it sound louder??? Will it mess up the horns since they're plastic or what? Anybody, advice?

sorry I am not sure, it might. idk..

though you can buy airhorns, that seem louder then that horn. for about 10 bucks.
they are the hand ones.

Sounds like a air pressure issue, with the bottle you can build up a larger volume of air that will let you have the "louder" sounding horn. If you are just going off the compressor it seems like it doesn't have the capacity to keep up with your horn. Ie. not enough cfm (cubic feet per minute) Your horn should have a max psi, then if you add a bottle just make sure to set it up so you don't exceed your max on the horn.

just slow build u a kit or buy u a 3 gallon tank and bolt it to the frame(so its hidden) and fill it up at the gas station, thats what i did but i had emergency horns off a oil rig soo i was shutting down 18wheels
