Default retrofitting problems

hey all, i have some questions about hid headlights. i have some retrofitted morimoto hid's and i love them. could not even consider going back to stock. however i am in my truck so much some people might say i live in it. ( in example i have put almost 40xxx miles in a yr.) anyways, everytime i turn my headlights on, my radio gets fuzzy. does this just have to do with the headlights drawing so much power that it takes away from the radio? if so or if not has anybody else had/tackled this problem? this is a really annoying problem for me and gets on my nerves. thanks in advance

I believe it's signal interference from the ballasts. It's usually worse with 'cheaper' aftermarket ones.

I don't know much about it - but I've heard guys having some luck with Ferrite rings or providing shielding around the ballast output leads.
