Question tail light tinting,

ok looking to smoke my tail lights and corner lights. i want to use tint not the spray. can any one help? looking for a easy but nice looking kind. was told the cling on kind was goood. but any one no any other kind? and how dark to go? thanks. just got new clear turn lights...so should i stay with the same tint? or go darker

iv got a 94 ford ranger. most baisic truck u can ever get. no power stearing. manual locks and windows. got a JVC KDR200, with a pair of Pyle 6" X 8" Blue Label 3-Way Speakers and wired an antennna. its a 2.3L 4 banger, with a 5 speed manual transmission. it had 117,400 miles on it wen i got it. i plan on dropping it a few inches. in the procces of repainting the interior. i want new headlights and taillights and paint my factory rims black. plan on getting a cheap sub and put in it.

its called nite shade. u can get it at most auto parts stores. i have some pics in one of my albums that shows my tails and i used nite shade. and for the corners, i would bake them to seperate them and paint the inside chrome that isnt being used, black. it gives it a nice euro headlight look

He doesnt wanna use spray Plus he has a 04 so I dont know if he can bake his headlights and corners

yea not looking to use spray or anything and i have a 94 not an 04...but thanks stl i looked at that. didnt no if there was anything else. cant seem to find that tint anywere.

if you dont find it there go to http://www.rvinyl.com/ or http://www.decalfx.com/smoked_tail_light_film.html i know at decal fx they should have pre-cut ones but i dunno if they do for a 94 so your best bet would be to buy a roll

Me and 2 of my friends tried to tint my old corners and tails. went through a whole roll and couldnt get it perfect... i just used nightshade.. saved a whole lot of time and frustration lol

you have to get the right kind of tint because theres two different types..types for windows and types for like tail lights and such

The tint used in that How To I posted it is just static cling window tint.

What 2 types are there?

well me and my buddy went to wallmart and he got one without the static cling to do his windows and worked good but didnt for his tails and then since i saw this how to were going to try that next

dont do it man. the tint all together sucks..unless i fucked it all up. but we used both the adheasive ones and the static cling. it ether bubbled and or wrinkled. looked great in the middle. but all the corners would wrinkle up and not stay down...so me and my buddy went out and got the night shade spreay. did my lights and his 01 grand cherokee lights. did mine a lil to dark. but his turned out great.
