Default Mazda Bed on Ford Ranger?

Has anyone done this or know if it can be done? I like the look of the stepside but think that a fleetside would be more practical, the Mazda Bseries beds have the style I like in the stepside but still have the function of a fleetside.

Any pics of this would be appreciated, as would any feedback of the practicality of such a mod.

I'm a mud engineer, this rig is mudding up right now so I have to be out here to tell them what to mix to get the different properties we want

Thanks guys. All thats left now is to start searching the scrapyards.

Looks a hell of a lot nicer than the fleetside.

Also don't forget that the Mazda beds have a 3-bulb tail light. If your stock bulbs will swap over you can just leave the blinker area of the light empty. Or swap in a 3-bulb tail light harness. With your 01 it should be plug and play but if you want the be 100% sure look at the connector and if it has 8 wires running to it then your good. If you can find a complete bed then the tail light harness should be there so you don't have to do too much work.
