Snapped the grill on my 2002 XLT. What are my options? Do i have to replace the whole grill assembly/shell or just grille insert?? I see grill inserts (just the grill) on sleezbay etc but they mention installing OVER the original..which doesn't sound like it will look all that good.

Yes you can just replace the center. Ebay does nt know what it's talking about

when you replaced the center did you have to remove the whole grill assembly? i.e. remove bolts, then lights etc etc. or can the center be removed on its own??

anyone go with a billet option?? i've seen picts but don't know if one is better than the next...

i i remember correctly when i painted the center part of my buddies 02 edge, its a few screws on top then it has snap thingy-ma-jiggers on the bottom that you just pull. no need to pull head lights, i did see that you could pull the center part out (held on by some sort of clips...) and i dont think you can take the center out without taking the whole grill out. its hard to remember because i didnt actually take the center out, just took the whole assembly off to tape and paint it

Yea you don't have to pull the lights butt it makes it way easier to get to the bottom clips.
