Default 99 ranger from lift/shocks

Hi there. I have a 1999 ford ranger xlt 3.0 v6 2WD all stock as of right now. I plan on getting 31x10.5r15 A/T tires but I also want to do either just a 2" lift in the front or a 4" lift in the front with a 1-2" lift in the back. Should I just get a coil spacer lift kit? spindles? and does that mean I have to change my shocks too? Could reallly use some help on this thanks

Lot of threads on here about spacers or spindles. Never talked to anyone thatll reccomend coil spacers. 2" lift coils would be good or else youd have alot of other more expensive problems to take care of. Bottom line is 2wd spindles are best way to go. Little more expensive bit of your gonna do it, do it the right way. Im waiting to get spindles myself. Id rather get spindles then mess up my truck even more with a cheap fix

Okay so if I get the spindles does that mean I need to get shocks and coils as well?

Spindles wont have anything to do with shocks or coils, all they do is ass tire clearance. Dont quote me on that, not an expert like most guys haha

DON'T EVEN LOOK AT COIL SPACERS.

They throw off the geometry of your front suspension and destroy all of your ball joints, and you'll end up spending more money to replace all of the components than you would if you just bought lift spindles.

Lift spindles do not alter any suspension geometry. It fits in the same spot as your factory steering knuckle, but the snout is mounted 3" lower, thereby raising the truck up. No new shocks or springs required and you retain factory ride.

This is 100% accurate. For the money, lift spindles are the best bang for the buck when lifting a 98+ 2nd and you don't want a body lift.

I have a 99 XLT ranger 3.0L and I had the same prob you were having, I ended up getting 3" spindles on front and 3" blocks on the rear, it came out nice, right now I have 30x9.50 tires but gonna go bigger, you don't new new shocks it's all what you prefer,
