Light bar behind grill
First off, I'm new to FRF. I recently bought an LED light bar on eBay and am wanting to mount it behind my grill. Got a 2006 ranger, anybody have good experience putting a light bar behind the grill or know the best approach? It's a 20" bar btw

I was gonna but I ended up putting it on my bumper. It won't fit unless you cut out part of your air dam.

Re: Light bar behind grill
Another note on the light bar you could buy a bull bar for the truck and mount it to the bull bar, if you like that look.
I have a bull bar with LED fogs that look like that light bar but are two seperate lights you can see it in my profile picture if you want a better idea.

check out the lightbar thread there was a member that posted there with a single row RI light bar mounted behind an 06+ grille in the upper slat. looks proper.

Thats a cool looking setup but I've got the stock grill. I think if i take a 90 degree hardware bracket from home depot or wherever ( I'm thinking 3 or 4" and bolt it into that plastic that runs the top of the grill will give me the spacing I need to go between the slats. my biggest concern is if that plastic will hold the weight w/o issue.
idk, ill install in the next few days and post pics

Would love to see pics when you get them. In the same boat right now. And also have the stock grille.
