Default Headlight Swap

Hey guys I'm new here, so hopefully this is the correct forum for this topic. I have a 2001 Mazda B3000 I know that the 2001 ford ranger headlights are taller than the 2001 B3000, but I noticed that the older model rangers like the 97 have a bit more shorter headlights? Is there any way possible that any ford ranger headlight would fit my 2001 mazda b3000. I really want some custom led halo head and tail lights but I can not find any aftermarket headlights for the b3000. I found a bunch for the rangers though. Is there any year of a ranger that would work?

Thanks in advance.

Okay would that be a good idea to do? How difficult would it be? Would it look good? What's all involved in the process?

You gotta swap the header panel and grill and stuff as for tail lights your sol. Ranger lights won't work and the only tails you can get for a mazda are the black ones and the ones you should have. Only way around that is a bed swap.

Okay what black tail lights are you referring to? I don't think I would want to swap out the bed unless I can find one for cheap so what if I bought a new pair of mazda b3000 tail lights and tried to modify them? By modify I mean make them look close to the ones in the link below.

If not then I might be willing to do a bed swap further down the line. How much would it cost, and where would I look for one? Would the 2001 ranger fit the 2001 b3000? I know it's a lot pf questions but I'm planning on keeping this truck forever and maybe even pass it down to my kids if I'm ever so unlucky to have any. So I really want this thing perfect in my mind.

Bed from 93-2011 will work. Some have different amount of bed holes. I mean the older style lights like mine.

What if I just bought new regular head and tail lights and smoked them, would they look decent? Or if I were buy them, open them up, and paint all the silver parts black so that it's clear on the outside but a unique black inside? Or would that mess with the way they shine? I was also wondering what is the best kind of lights to use? Like what is the most powerful lights I can use legally? I'm just trying to do something cool with my lights without ripping everything apart.

Would mess with the way they shine. I have a set of blacked out tails. I am selling them. Except a member on here already has first dibs on them.

Do they looked good blacked out? I was thinking about that, and I really used to like them but I'm afraid they may not shine through enough. What is the best brightest kind of light bulbs I can use legally. I really want something bright, not blinding but really bright.

Oh wow those look really nice. Better than any I've seen on the road. How did you do it? Does the red shine through bright with the black like that?

I had normal bulbs and they shined through fine. Obviously not as good as factory. But they were clearly noticeable. Cleaned them good. 2 coats of duplicolor lens tint, 4 coats of clear, buff and polish.

----------

Oh yeah, between clear coats I wet sanded them.

Well good job man, they look really good. Haven't seen blacked out lights look that well in forever. Did you take them out to tint them or leave them in? I've watched a few videos and some people tend to leave them in. I would rather take them out to do it. Is there any difference in the finished product?

I bought them and had them as extras so they were out. I prefer to take them out. No worry on over spray.

Awesome yeah I think that's what I want to do. Do they shine well in the front too? Like can you see the road at night?
