Default rear leaf spring

Hey what's up you guys, I just bought a 1999 ford ranger 4x4 super cab and I have a question. Everything seemed out ok until I looked from the back of it, I opened the tail gate and there goes a leaf spring right threw the bed. What can I do to fix this? Here's a pic of it.

I've seen weirder things but that's in the top 20 for sure...

. Your parts store can sell you a spring hanger to fix it for about $20

Thanks for the input but I found a fix. Today when I looked under the truck on one side was a newly put on bracket holding the leaf spring and on the other side a rusted old one that was broke. So I just need to buy a bracket for it and get something to pull that spring back down so I can attach it.
