Default painting faded plastic fender flares

howdy,

i was looking through and couldn't find a thread on this. i have a black '03 fx4 with gray lower bumper and fender flares. they are all looking faded, and i was hoping to get a good tip on touching them up and making them darker. i don't want to remove anything if i can help it.

i'm sure this is an easy one for most of you to answer.

thanks!

Kylon Fusion paint works the best it is made for plastic

Just clean then real good and mask off around them

That looks good. Mine are faded to the point that the tops are like bleach white. Should I prime those spots first?

I wouldn't primer the plastic. Like STL suggested I'd go with Fusion paint and make sure you clean it really well first. I did the passenger side today because the wind finally died down. They came out great and all four look tight. I also did the valence on the front bumper and the plastic on the rear bumper. Ran out of time today but will be installing the bumper tomorrow if it's not snowing.

Another suggestion, don't mask the truck off. Just take the time to pull the flares off. I just painted my flares this past weekend and they look MUCH better now.
