Default 93-97 suspension swap into a 2000?

I have bought a 2000 Ranger 4X4 as my project truck. It seems really hard to find a suspension lift kit for this truck so I am wondering if swapping the suspension for the earlier 93 to 97 ranger suspension would work as the lift kit for those trucks are found easily. Thanks for any advice.

The time and cost of fabrication would be more then it's worth. If your gonna go through all that sas it

Yes I googled it after asking the question. For a smarter question, which axle should I get? I would like to have 35 or 37 inch tires and hope to not have a stiff suspension like my 08 FX4..

If it is strictly for off road and you might have 37" tires, 4:88.

What axle you use will be based off your price range and what you can find. D30, d35 or d44

I'm looking for something dependable that will be suitable for 35 inch tires. I will go with whatever one is better for the money. Should I get it used at a scrap yard or buy a new one?

go out to a scrap yard and get a D44 if it's a toy and off-roading truck then get a D60 but if you don't need 1 tons then it wouldn't be worth it cause you'd have to do both

Does anyone know how much lift I will gain by doing the SAS? I just want to try and figure out how much of a suspension lift I should do while the suspension is all apart.

----------

Which vehicles can I get the D44 or D60 from? Sorry about all the questions and thanks for all the replies.

2-20". It's up to you on how you fabricate it or springs you buy.

The axle depends on what your doing. Leaves/coils/coil overs. Next is are you going full width. If that's so you will need a rear axle to match. You have a lot more research to do before attempting this just saying.

I won't attempt it. I will pay someone to do it for me. I am trying to decide which one to install. I know I'd like about 8 inches of lift. I won't do extreme offroad but I do go down bad dirt roads with potholes, washboards and some 4X4 only rocky roads. I really want the truck to look nice but it won't be a pavement princess; only offroad. I have an 08 FX4 I drive daily.
