Default spray on bed liner!

I guess it's a little late to ask but how does rustoleum spray on truck bed liner hold up? My bed rail caps, plastic cap on rear bumper, and the window trim on the driver and passenger side (right below the window) were all faded and looked terrible. Plus I am going for the red truck/black trim look on my ranger. I bought some rustoleum primer and the premium truck bed spray and did 2 coats of each on all the parts listed above. It looks great right now but I'm hoping it holds up. Anybody have experience with it? I'm thinking of removing the plastidip on my wheels and also spraying bed liner on them.

Well if any relation, I used herculiner in my bed and it's pretty tough stuff. Had it a month so far, not very long but have put it to use and it doesn't budge.

That rattle can stuff isn't really true Bedliner IMO. It's not as strong as the real stuff. (roll on or professional spray on) it's more of just rough spray paint once it drys.

I've no idea how it holds up, but it looks good what you did. Thanks, that's all I need, something else to do to the Ranger. LOL

It holds up ok. I used it in the bed of my 99 and it flaked on the bed bolts but thats it. I only sprayed 3 coats which is still really thin

Looks like you already did it but I don't like it. It holds dirt and is hard to clean because its gritty and not rubber

Yeah now that it's dry I realize how gritty it is. I thinking about waiting for it to cure the rest of the way and taking a fine grit sandpaper to it and try to smooth it out a bit then maybe hit it with a satin clear coat. It might be easier to clean. Although anything is easier than plastidip! That crap grabs dirt and doesn't want to let go! And if you rub to hard it just comes off.

The sanding and satin clear coat may be a good way to go. Let us know how it works if you do!

With the plasti dip on your wheels, the best way to clean it is to spray tire shine since it's essentially spray on rubber. That's how I used to clean my old wheels

No problem! I always used the black magic foam tire shine and it did awesome!

I used rustoleum bedliner spray on a few parts of my Jeep - bare steel aftermarket bumpers and the plastic fender flares. The paint held up really well. It developed some very tiny nicks at the leading edge of the rear fender flares, from rocks thrown back from the front tires.
I Also built a custom trailer, and used the same paint on all the framework. Again, it held up great.
I chose rustoleum bedliner for the cheap & easy touch-ups, but only needed to touch up once, after literally scraping it off with another piece of steel.
