Factory side step bars
I have a 2001 Ford Ranger and was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get the plastic insert pieces off of the top of the Factory side step bars?I have some rust showing up around that area on both of mine and I need to get them apart so I can fix the rust.Thank you for any help.

I was just thinking the same thing the other day. I did not do this but I bet if you pop the end caps off maybe you can see whats holding them on??

Stick a flat blade screw driver in between the plastic part and the step and pry up
It is just clipped in there
