I ordered some, so that stupid people in parking lots don't dent my truck.

I agree. Most of them are for look's, and not practicality.

What ever floats your boat I say.

LoL! If your trucks lifted it makes sense. Yes.

I don't have them but I'm going to get some soon. I take my mom places and it's hard for her to get in my truck without step bars. I also think the step bars give the truck a nice touch.

So who sells these for a reasonable price? My 5 year old grandson would use them and I like the look. They are a $100 option, and Ford Assessories, (I know, the spelling is intentional) offers them for $500, must be a yacht payment for Mullally.

I bought mine from Ford for 470$(can) installed, plus tax.

I think the chrome ones are a lil more expensive.

If you can install yourself, ebay sells them cheaper, but you have to pay shipping on top too, which will end up costing slightly less than Ford's.

I looked on eBay, and the best I found was $336 plus $70 shipping. From a Ford dealer. I have a Super Cab 2 door. I can install them, no problem.

so i bought a pair of ford factory nerf bars for the ranger off of craigslist. cause a couplee of you guys made good points like the look factor and protection from other peoples doors. the guy had a 2006 level II ranger, but didnt like the look of them on there so he sold them to me for $200. the guy gave me 2 bolts and 2 other bolts with like a metal plate for a washer type thing but i can figure out how to bolt the front bracket on with the stuff he gave me? anyone have an install guide or pics? like i said, an 06 to an 09 ranger, the steps should work and i held it up to where its suppose to go and its right, but i cant bolt the front bracket on. any help would be great!
thanks

Open driver door pull back carpet or vinyl flooring

You will see a huge rubber grommet. Remove the grommet.

Now is the tricky part you gotta get the bolt into one of those holes

Not the best pictures but may get the idea of how they mount
