I bought mine at the junkyard for $90. Took them home and cleaned them up really good. Lightly sanded the metal and painted it gloss black. Painted the plastic on top with Krylon Fusion in gloss black and hit it all with 2 coats of gloss clear. Mounted them today and they look awesome. My 6yr old son was so happy to use them tonight as he has a tough time climbing in the cab. Another project completed!

I took mine off, as I found they are just snow and salt catchers, just something else to wash and didn't like the look of them much either. Still debating if I will sell them or not though (if my truck every gets lifted even higher I may want them).

Just got mine this week! Bought them from Ford and installed them with me and my dad. I asked Ford how much it cost to install and they said $200! Decided me and my dad could install these things ourselves and worked out good! Best pics I could take for now.

I hope I'm just having a senior moment. But it looks like I have 2 front drivers side brackets rather than one of each.
Anyone run into this when installing them & figure out you were just having a brain fart??

Let me take some pics. BRB.

I dont know how they mount on a 87 but if you have the steps like above then you need 1 of these for ea. side in the front. I know you cant buy just them from ford. You either need to buy the complete steps or someone told be you can buy these in sets of 5.
