Default Body lift bumper relocation brackets strength

Im still a little confused on whether I want a body lift or dual exhaust still but ive got a question. How strong is the relocation bracket? My buddy got a body lift on his s10 and has the same light bar as me, and the mounts that came with his were shit. He could pick up the lightbar and rattle the hell out of the bumper.

The brackets are ~1/4" thick and to me they seem strong enough. But if I ever hit anything of size its gonna bend them. It'll hold the bumper and light bar just fine.

Just went outside and tried to move my bumper. It didnt shake, rattle or anything

Default Re: Body lift bumper relocation brackets strength

Flimsy as hell. I got a 3 inch lift kit from Performance Accessories and the front bumper brackets suck, bend and make the bumper wobble a bit. I have a buddy of mine making some out of a little thicker steel to fix this problem. There used to be a guy on here that made them for $35 but he's not around anymore and replacement brackets are not easy to find.
