Default Installing projector headlamps/hids in 2010 Ranger

This question might be a beaten horse around here, but I'm going to test your knowledge again.

I'm looking to install new projector headlamps for a 2010 ranger, and I want to install HIDs inside the projectors. The headlamps I'm interested in look like this http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/mytig...ghts-black.jpg

Bit of a newb question, but what will I need to do to install these? Is it as easy as me ordering those projector headlamps and HIDs and simply replacing the existing headlamps/halogen lights? Also what do I need to know about high/low beam?

Finally, are there any recommended sites to order headlamps and HIDs from? Alternatively, sites to stay away from? Something with good warranty is preferred.

I'm new to modding lights, so thanks in advance

I decided to just go with a HID kid for both headlights and foglights. I just have to decide which ones I want. I'm thinking 55w 6000k for both. Suggestions? I'm going with DDM tuning.

35w kits are PLENTY bright and remember, a 55w ballast pushing a 6000k bulb actually appears about 5000k. 8000k appears about 6000k. You lose color when overpowering bulbs....the bulbs themselves are the same in both 35w and 55w kits.

You do not want 55W in your foglights, that's too much heat for a small enclosure. 35W in the fogs.

55W 6000K sounds good.

Regarding DDM tuning, they are getting a LLLOOTTT of flake lately. As of late, they are having very slow shipping times & horrible customer service.

I guess too much heat would be a bad thing? If I got 55w 6000k for headlights and 35w 6000k for the foglights, wouldn't the color be off?

Avoid 55w in the heads. The enclosure for the projo's is very small. Smaller than the fogs. If you go with 55w your going to melt the housing. And they say no HID's on the headlight housing. I haven't run into problems but I'll bet the 55w projo's will.

Yes, and yes.

There's been quite a few Ranger owners to run 55w in the heads and I haven't heard of any problems...
