plasti dip, how much to use?

I'm going to paint my truck this summer and I'm unsure how many gallons I need to do 3 coats or if 2 coats will be good enough with plastic dip

You'll need at least 5 coats. 6 would be better. 2-3 isn't nearly enough

I've heard of a lot of people using just 2 coats, and even the guy on the dipyourcar YouTube channel, but I guess I would need 4 gallons? I'm painting my truck red, which is the same color it is now so that's why I was going to do 4 coats including the glossifier
